Researcher in End of Life

Claire graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology & French, where she studied Psychology as the major subject. Upon completing her studies she took up a Research Assistant position with IDS-TILDA in June 2015.

She was awarded a studentship to carry out a Masters by Research project to investigate the epidemiology of behaviours which challenge in older adults with an intellectual disability, which she completed in December 2016. Claire has presented her research findings at conferences in Ireland and abroad, most recently at the IASSIDD 16th Word Congress in Melbourne in August 2016. Claire's other research interests include end of life care for people with intellectual disability and she is currently working as part of a team creating guidelines for carers and people with ID around end of life planning for adults with ID.
