Research Expertise
Description
Research Fellow with the Intellectual Disability Supplement to The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (IDS-TILDA), with a focus on ageing and ID. I have a particular interest in the social and community participation of people with intellectual disability. My PhD from Trinity College Dublin examined rates and outcomes of social participation for older people with ID in Ireland. Currently working on research about long-term future care planning for older adults with ID living with their family. Other interests include person centered planning, inclusive methodologies, and sociological questions of community, inclusion and social capital.Projects
